Europe RMRs: Qualification Process for PGL Copenhagen Major

The PGL Copenhagen Major, the first Major for Counter-Strike 2, is just around the corner. But before the tournament in Denmark, teams need to earn the right to represent their region. Europe is currently the strongest region in CS2, and the qualification process for the Danish Major in mid-March will determine which teams will make it to the biggest stage in Counter-Strike.
Qualification Process
32 European teams will compete for 18 spots at the PGL Copenhagen Major, making it one of the largest regional qualifiers ever for a CS2 event. These teams have qualified for the live Europe RMRs through invitation or closed qualifiers. The teams will be split into two groups of 16 to play a Swiss series. To progress to the Major, teams need to win three series, while three losses will result in elimination. If a team wins two matches before losing their third, they will move on to a decider bracket against the three teams with the same record from the other RMR. Elimination or qualifying matches are best-of-three, while all others are best-of-one.
After the teams have qualified for the Major, they will be seeded into each stage (Elimination Stage and Opening Stage) based on Valve's standings within each region. The top seven teams post-seeding will proceed to the Elimination Stage, while the remaining 10 teams will start their Major run in the Opening Stage.
